About us

The Remarkable Group has been established for over 50 years, providing the highest quality services for autistic young people. Wargrave House School (ages 5 – 16) & Ascent College (ages 16 – 25) operate a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to young people with Autism. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.

Our hiring process typically involves an initial application review, a competency based interview, a tour and depending on the role there could be a task, observations and/or presentation. All detail will be shared in advance of the interview.

After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. Our recruitment team will review your application and, if you meet the personal specification , you may be contacted for an interview.

The qualifications required to work at Remarkable Autism vary depending on the specific role you are applying for. Each position has its own set of criteria, which are detailed in the personal specification provided in the recruitment pack. We regularly recruit for Teaching Support Assistants and Student Learning Mentors throughout the academic year due to our setting growing. Visit our careers page for the latest vacancies.

Due to the high volume of applications, we can only provide feedback to candidates who reach the interview stage.

We require an Enhanced DBS check, references (Covering the last 5 years), verification of qualifications and right-to-work documents. You will also undertake a fitness to work consultation form our OH provider Health Assured.
